1. Ship to be rejected

Ship daily and reach out to many people with your work. Ask for feedback from the right people who can critique you or reject you. Most best-selling novels have ruthless editors whose job it is to cut out words until the manuscript is just right for publishing. Embrace rejection to get better.

2. Be curious

Curiosity leads you to new horizons beyond your area of interest. Learn from your curiosity. Spend hours pondering and just observing without any agenda. Let your thoughts and imagination wander.

3. Draw inspiration from a variety of sources

Make sure you don’t look up to one source of inspiration only. Have a variety. Create a palette of sounds, writings, images, films, etc. that you enjoy. Breakdown their process of creation. Take what you like from all these sources and combine it. You may come up with a unique sound in this way.

4. Don’t let perfection win

Procrastination is okay. Fear of shipping is okay. Making your work better is okay. However, it is not okay to simply wait for it to be perfect. Nothing is perfect. Give yourself a deadline to ship the things you create. Your creations can be improved when they are exposed to the world.

5. Systems and routines

Creating routines, designing systems, and following habits every day will help you to succeed. Organised people are disciplined people. This leads to being empowered to take action.

6. CMS Skills

Get better at Copywriting, Marketing, and Sales. You need to be a master of these things to reach out to the world with your creation so they are willing to pay for it.

7. Pivot

It is not shameful to change interests and niches. If, after trying for years, you still aren’t good at something, try something else. You will be committing a crime if you keep failing at something just to avoid society’s ridicule for moving on to something else. Don’t care about them and change for the better.
