There are times I feel that one needs to be roasted when they are starting out early in life.

If I had been roasted about my music, personality, behavior, and habits, I would have had a better thick skin.

This process seasons you and helps build a thick skin.

For what?

For developing resilience and tolerance, so words can’t mentally weaken or distract you.

The thick skin should be built like a muscle, so much that nothing offends you.

If something offends, you have the wisdom to not react, but reflect and respond only when needed.

Then much later in life when you taste success, before you can start holding it too close to your heart - make sure you get roasted.

It’s a low cost, high impact reality check, that helps you reset and pivot.
