I wish I didn’t have to say this.
I didn’t have a job for a very long time.
I would do anything and everything to find a job that would keep me happy.
In the span of five years, I went through five companies and shuttled between Chennai and my hometown, Pune.
Every move came with a better position and paycheck.
Every move also meant I had to part ways with family, friends, and almost everything I liked.
But these moves looked perfect. I wanted more. I wanted to do things I loved.
I found ways to keep making music. The remnants from my salary were used to fund my experiments in music.
It was almost four years of making music without any returns. I doubted myself, and negative thoughts started creeping in.
I fought through it but didn’t give up on music.
A year later, I was offered the opportunity to compose music for a short film and then a feature film.
It was time for me to give up my high-paying job and risk my career.
It was time for me to “do what I loved the most - make music.”
And then what followed was happiness and success.
All because of the small sacrifices and tons of patience.
Don’t give up on your dreams and goals.
Everything takes longer than you think. Let sacrifice and patience take you to success.
