You need not agree with everything you read, watch, or encounter during the school day.
There’s no requirement to blindly believe and follow what you come across. Instead, focus on remaining open to being teachable.
Embrace new concepts, letting them settle within you as you refine and determine if they are right for you.
This process is best achieved by reading more, learning more, writing more, and thinking more.
It’s worth noting that perspectives can change over time.
For example, I’ve found that some books I read a decade ago no longer resonate with me today, with approximately 90% of their content now disconnected from my current beliefs.
However, when I first read those books, they were crucial to my growth and development, and I’m grateful for the lessons they provided.
Today, I’m capable of reevaluating those previously held beliefs and challenging them as needed.
Progress demands a certain level of stubbornness in some areas while maintaining the flexibility to change your mind about others.
