In this industry of music, you can easily get lost not in the crowd. It’s a fractionally small industry in numbers but large in groups. The music fraternity operates in groups – some healthy and others unhealthy.

You can be trapped for life and may never come out of the shadows of an unhealthy group. And you could become simply overdependent on a healthy group to make things happen for you.

Groups in the industry are formed for the comfort factor each individual shares within them, or most of the time, groups exist for vested interests and easy growth.

Nothing is easy here. And neither are the people.

It’s best to stay away from groups that exist and swim away from the fads. Create a new path; leave a trail for people to follow you who believe in you.

And soon you’d have ‘founded’ a new group too. Decide which one you’d want to create – a healthy or an unhealthy one.

Curate each other. Hear good music, promote good talents.

Happy groupism.
