It sucked.

I was becoming an angry beast—Hulk, if you need a relatable figure.

“We’re waiting for some funds to come; then we’ll transfer your funds.”

This is what I heard for a good six months, and I was never paid.

I was all flared up, and my blood was boiling.

I complained to the higher authorities, and that was in vain too.

“Send them a legal notice,” advised my colleague.

By now, I was getting dizzy in my head. The rage and hate for the client were filling up inside of me.

I took some time to calm down and looked at what the situation had made me.

“Can you draft me a legal contract with the payment terms?”

I found a solution.

I used that contract for all my future projects.

And just like that, I stopped complaining.

And that released the energy sucker and the negativity that was around it.

Did I get paid for that project? No.

Did I get paid for all future projects? Yes.

Do I complain now? Yes (for a short time).

But in that instance, I made an effort to find a solution.

Make your life better; stop the complaining.
