You might get laughed at, just because
– you sang out of tune
– you made a song full of bad loops
– you tried to clone a singer
– you penned nonsensical lyrics
– you walked in the studio with that top that didn’t match your bottoms
– you didn’t know what a talkback was
– you didn’t learn music
– you didn’t know who Jethro Tull was
– you don’t own a good pair of headphones
– you love Anu Malik
– you hate A.R.Rahman
– you sing like the windy Kumar Sanu/nasal Alka Yagnik
– you have an autograph book
– you review music
– you blog about music
– you advise or take advise for music
– you don’t know about Berklee and Trinity
or you might get laughed at just because
– you make music.
Let them be. Let them set the fire to instill that you exist. Exist to make music. You exist to struggle; you exist to make a mark for yourself.
You exist to laugh at yourself and at all those people who laughed at you to get you to a place where you’ve always dreamt of being.
Listen to the critique in their laughter, adapt, and change.
