The latest project I’m working with Krishnan on is a Malayalam flick titled “Nayakan” starring Indrajit and other bigwigs from the Kerala industry. The film is being directed by Lijo Jose Pellissary, son of late yesteryear actor Jose Pellissary. We’ve been working on this project for quite sometime now, we’ve done 2 tracks for the film, its not the final mix though. After doing these songs, I still wasn’t very sure of the sound design, as I work on instincts and spontaniety. I was confused with the sounds and instrumentation for the tracks, until Lijo mailed the first set of raw poster designs for the film.

The designs have given me a high and has got my imagination going…Its these small kicks that pulls the trigger ! At this given time, I have gone through the poster designs over a zillion times, as I’m letting it grow over me.

Lets wait and watch how the sound shapes up for the film…hopefully it breaks the clutter and Nayakan raises its head high not only in sound/music, but all departments…
